Ingredients:
-1 Tablespoon unsweetened almond butter
-2 teaspoons raw coconut oil dash vanilla extract
-1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
-2 Tablespoons raw cacao powder
1 teaspoon organic maca powder
-1 Tablespoon sweetener of choice (coconut nectar, raw honey, maple syrup, coconut sugar)
-pinch sea salt
-2 Tablespoons grass-fed, pastured collagen powder
-1 1/2 cups freshly boiled water
-1 dollop cinnamon coconut whipped cream
Hot chocolate is definitely a drink full of nostalgia and happy memories of colder days. But most hot chocolate mixes (and even the ones served at cafes and fast food restaurants) are made up of sugar, corn syrups, fatty oils, artificial flavors and unpronounceable preservatives. What’s left is virtually no nutritional benefit, and a lot of inflammatory ingredients. But it doesn’t have to be that way.
